Sorcha Shanahan & Ciaran Flanagan

Sorcha Shanahan is a professional actress who trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, which left her with a deep abiding respect for Eccles cake. She’s the most masculine female member of ‘Love the Concept’ comedy sketch group, who performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2009.

Last year, after a period of full-time procrastination, she finally got up the courage to stand up on stage all by herself in order to share the joy of her slightly bizarre and skewhiffey sense of humour with the world...or people who come and watch her, at least. This has turned out to be a lovely idea and is working quite well, thus far. She is delighted to be performing at the Big Arts Oak Festival.

Writer and Comedian Ciaran Flanagan is a native of Stroke City now living in London. Ciaran has written and performed sketches for the Edinburgh Festival, Dublin Fringe and Belfast Theatre Festival. Since moving to London, Ciaran has made a departure into Stand-Up Comedy. His up-beat and left of field humour pulls no punches about our new City of Culture status and the 'joys' of living in Norn Iron. Recently described as 'Brilliant' on BBC Radio Foyle, Ciaran's comedy will keep you gagging for more.
