Christine Donovan was born in England in 1962 and in July her first novel Jump Derry won the International Rubery Book Award. Among other matters the novel discusses parkour, the Troubles, eyeliner, boyfriends and cooking the dinner

Dave Duggan is a dramatist and novelist, writing in English and in Irish. He was awarded a Major Arts Award by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland in 2010.

He wrote the Oscar nominated Dance Lexie Dance (Raw Nerve Productions, 1996).

Garbhan Downey has worked as a journalist, broadcaster, newspaper editor, literary editor and novelist. He is currently Director of Communications & Marketing for Culture Company 2013, which will deliver Derry’s City of Culture year.

Jason Johnson was born in Enniskillen in 1969 and has lived in Belfast, Englandand the USA. He has been a barman, a shoe salesman a car washer, a supermarket employee, a waiter, a courier, a chair-ride operator, an apprentice stonemason, and a painter and decorator.

Carlo Gébler was born in Dublin in 1954. He is an author of novels, including 'The Eleventh Summer', 'The Cure' and 'How to Murder a Man', the memoir 'Father & I', and the history 'The Siege of Derry' as well as the short story collection 'W.9. & Other Lives', some plays and several works for children.

Columnist and broadcaster Anita Robinson’s first book is a memoir called Twice Round on the Hobby Horse and was published by Brehon Press in 2007. Anita was born and reared in Derry and is a regular columnist in The Irish Times
